Angle it might be too late at this point but do you mean 80% function destroyed and just 20% remaining?
In past for my babies I have working relationship with my vet, if there is truly just 20% function its probably too late, but you could have vet try intravenous fluids over a few days to see if kitty responds but if not peaceful euthenasia would be best so they don't suffer. I would discuss with your vet, see what they recommend.
By the way don't permit advertising so removed that part of your message.
